The deconstructed two-part tumbler glass, emerged from a collaboration between Piet Hein Eek, Glasblower Marc Barreda and Nic Frehner for the Dutch Design Week 2024.
The glass is designed to serve drinks such as Negroni, Old Fashion, and other classic tumbler-style cocktails. The glass consists of two separately produced parts, which are carefully connected in the final stage of the process. This connection is adapted from the metal rivet technique and translated into glass design. The deconstructed tumbler provides a lighter, more elegant appearance while maintaining the stability of a solid base, ensuring a high-quality drinking experience.
